Sourav Ganguly
Former Indian captain; architect of the modern aggressive Indian team.
Sourav Ganguly is among the most influential figures in modern Indian cricket. He captained India through the first half of the 2000s and is widely credited with rebuilding the side's aggressive identity - including memorable overseas Test wins in Australia and Pakistan and the 2002 NatWest Trophy final in England.
He scored over 7,000 Test runs and over 11,000 ODI runs for India. After retirement he served as president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and then as president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (2019–2022). He has captained and mentored Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
