Shikhar Dhawan
Indian ODI opener; ICC Champions Trophy 2013 Player of the Series.
Shikhar Dhawan is a former Indian left-handed opening batter whose international career spanned more than a decade across all three formats. He scored a record-breaking Test century on debut versus Australia in 2013, went on to become one of India's most reliable ODI openers with over 6,000 ODI runs, and was Player of the Series at the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
He captained Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in the IPL and has been a fixture of India's limited-overs setup through the 2010s. He announced retirement from international cricket in 2024.
Dhawan is known on stage for warmth and simple framing - his signature moustache and 'Gabbar' on-field persona sit alongside a softer public figure who speaks about fatherhood, form, and returning after injury.
