Pankaj Tripathi

National Award–winning actor whose craft has redefined the Indian character lead.

Pankaj Tripathi is among the most respected actors working in Hindi cinema and streaming. Raised in a farming family in Gopalganj, Bihar, he trained at the National School of Drama before moving to Mumbai and spending years in small and supporting parts before breakout work in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012).

His filmography includes Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Mimi, Ludo, and OMG 2; on streaming, he is best known as Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur and as Guruji in Sacred Games. He has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and multiple Filmfare recognitions.

Tripathi speaks softly about a large subject - patience. His stage conversations gravitate to craft, rural roots, and the long apprenticeship behind sudden visibility.
