Ashutosh Rana is a veteran Indian actor known for intense roles in Dushman, Sangharsh, Simran, and Sonchiriya, alongside a long catalogue of Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil features. He was awarded Filmfare's Best Villain for his work in the late 1990s.
Outside cinema, Rana is a published Hindi author whose books - including Ramrajya, Maun Muskaan Ki Maryada, and Maryada Purushottam Ram - draw on the Ramayana and the Mahabharata to argue for a values-centred public life. His appearances on Hindi literary and cultural stages are widely circulated.
