Ashutosh Rana

Actor, author, and orator whose command of Hindi literature draws audiences beyond cinema.

Ashutosh Rana is a veteran Indian actor known for intense roles in Dushman, Sangharsh, Simran, and Sonchiriya, alongside a long catalogue of Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil features. He was awarded Filmfare's Best Villain for his work in the late 1990s.

Outside cinema, Rana is a published Hindi author whose books - including Ramrajya, Maun Muskaan Ki Maryada, and Maryada Purushottam Ram - draw on the Ramayana and the Mahabharata to argue for a values-centred public life. His appearances on Hindi literary and cultural stages are widely circulated.

He speaks, in chaste Hindi, on dharma, character, the strength of restraint, and the continuing relevance of Indian philosophical traditions to contemporary work and leadership.
