Aakash Chopra
Former Indian Test opener; one of Indian cricket's most popular broadcasters and commentators.
Aakash Chopra is a former Indian Test opener who played 10 Tests for India in the mid-2000s and was a long-serving first-class batter for Delhi and Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy. Since retirement he has built one of the most successful second careers in Indian cricket - as a commentator, author, and analyst.
He has published multiple books including Beyond the Blues, Out of the Blue, and Numbers Do Lie, and runs a long-running Hindi-language cricket YouTube channel whose daily analysis reaches millions. He commentates across IPL and international fixtures.
On stage, Chopra draws on the craft of commentary, the economics of the content-era cricket career, and why a mid-length playing career can launch an even longer public one.
